Spring is just around the corner! I don't know about you, but I am excited to get outside and enjoy learning in God's creation.
Right now I'm just garnering interest. Here are some of my ideas, but please share what would be of interest to you!
Where: Local Parks (Stony Creek Metropark? Each mom takes turns picking different local parks?)
When: Every Other Friday, beginning May 3 - June 28 @ 10:00am
Activity Ideas:
10:00am - Sharing/Recitation Time (Have your children come prepared to share something they are learning. Show and tell for the younger ones.)
10:30am - Lesson (Each mom takes turns preparing a simple lesson. Perhaps something nature related or even an art concept that could help in the children's nature journals.)
11:00am - Nature Walk (Bring a notebook and pencil for each of your children if you would like them to keep a nature journal.)
12:00pm - Lunch (If you can stay, bring a packed lunch and we can enjoy a picnic together! The children can play for a while until you have to leave.
These are just some ideas I came up with. If different dates or a different time of day is better for you, share that and we will see what works best for the majority of us. If you would be interested in more activities (a longer, more structured time), or would rather have a completely relaxed time (no lesson), please share that too! I was just aiming for a middle-of-the-road plan to get the conversation started.
